How to use the barcode scanner for adding foods

When you scan in a new food, the scanned food will appear as a custom icon on your Grid. To scan in new foods:

1. Locate the Scan barcode button on the Grid (next to the water button).

2. Aim the barcode reader at the UPC symbol on the food product in a well lit location.

3. A popup should come up allowing you to verify the food you just scanned. *If any corrections need to be made, you can tap on any of the blue text to correct the information before tapping on the "save button."

4. A custom food icon will appear on the Grid after you have saved your food.

 

You can also search for the food by tapping on the Grid, then using the search bar. Type in the name of the food you are searching for and then a list of potential food matches will show up. Select the food that best matches your desired food and then select it. The food will then be added to My Foods as a custom food.
